Among the great disciples were someone who cried, coming before the Buddha, to prostrate themselves, asking him not to enter Nirvana. The Buddha mercifully promised to remain in the world for another three months. The ritual of requesting the masters to remain long-standing began from there.

• This is also an important practice of the ten Samantabhadra. Thus requesting the remaining masters is the essential practice that all Bodhisattvas practice. Even Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is a Bodhisattva representing the enlightened wisdom still diligently practicing this deed.. So, For basic people like us, this dharma is extremely important and necessary. Especially for practitioners of tantric practice – Vajrayana, the Master's role is even more important, because without Master Basic there is no Vajrayana. Therefore, asking for an enlightened teacher to remain in the world is a very necessary and inconceivable deed. Buddha taught that, in all prayers, the request to the master of longevity is the most victorious. For in this age the presence of an enlightened master is the only reliable support for countless suffering of sentient beings.. Only thanks to their guidance can we diligently practice the practice without fear of straying from wrongdoing, creating more negative karma, and depending on His compassionate mind and wisdom, we can steadfastly find the source of true happiness., enlightenment.
